GOLD MEDAL AT INTERNATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP.

ANSHIKA of GRADE X has enthusiastically participated in 5th India Open International Taekwondo championship held at Thyagraj Stadium,INA,NEW DELHI and made us proud by winning GOLD MEDAL. It provided her a platform to collaborate and learn. Participating in such competitions enabled her to know her strengths and enhanced their skills.

An exhilarating trip to EOD-ADVENTURE PARK

'TRAVEL IS NOT A REWARD FOR WORKING, ITS EDUCATION FOR LIVING.'

The Sovereign School organised an exhilarating trip to EOD-ADVENTURE PARK on 19th November 2022 (Saturday) for the students of GRADE IX-XII. The objective of the trip was to develop team building, motor skills and mind/body connection, social skills, time management, handling pressure, balancing skills and overcoming fear.

Students enjoyed various adventure sports and activities like Archery, Darts, Bowling, DJ, Zip Line, Zip Cycle, Rain Dance, Board Games, Bull Ride, Tree Top course, Body Zorbing etc.

ARISHNA JINDAL AND V.PRISHA, brought laurels to The Sovereign School,by winning the meritorious second position at the DISTRICT Level Collage Competition in Junior Category . They have not just painted their artistic skills but also painted the glory for THE SOVEREIGN SCHOOL.

To create awareness about environment and about SDG no 13 - CLIMATE ACTION among school children, THE SOVEREIGN SCHOOL organized a virtual workshop on 18th November, 2022 under the theme *Polar Process and Phenomenon* for the scholars of Grade IX-XII. It was held in collaboration with *NCPOR* about the activities in the polar realms. National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR) is India’s premier R&D institution responsible for the country’s research activities in the polar and Southern Ocean realms.

The workshop was inaugurated by our honorable chief guest Dr. Cheryl , who is a Project scientist at NCPOR and Dr. Shabnam Chaudhary, a Post Doctoral fellow from *Maitri Station Antarctica and Bharti Station VASCO DA GAMA.*

The workshop showcased a fruitful learning platform for the students.

KALA UTSAV DISTRICT COMPETITION

Mahima Susan Thomas brought laurels to the school by bagging the Second position in Traditional Folk Song Competition in KALA UTSAV DISTRICT COMPETITION.The melodious participants presented Traditional Folk Song with great enthusiasm and excellent expressions. The magical voice of the young singer mesmerized the audience.

INTER CLASS GRAFFITI WALL COMPETITION

The Sovereign School organized INTER CLASS GRAFFITI WALL COMPETITION for the students for Grade VI- XII. The primary aim of the competition is to nurture creativity and talent and to promote an artistic bent of mind amongst young artists.

The graffiti wall display focused on sustainable development goals(GOAL 13: CLIMATE ACTION, GOAL 14: LIFE BELOW WATER AND GOAL 15: LIFE ON LAND) and engaged the students to promote social values, and educate the participants from all economic backgrounds on different social issues through their creativity.

Goonj Workshop

The Sovereign School,Rohini has organized a workshop on 9 November,2022 in collaboration with Goonj- that builds a relationship of empathy and dignity between urban and rural school children.

Ms. Pooja and Mr. Jai were the connoisseurs, who enlightened the students of Grade VII and VIII.
Discussions veered on to built awareness about rural issues,to inculcate volunteerism and mindful giving practices.

National Cancer Awareness Day

A workshop was conducted on November 7, 2022 on *National Cancer Awareness Day* by DR. JAI GOPAL SHARMA, the renowned oncologist from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital for the students of Grade IX-XII.

Students apprised that it is an international day to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection and treatment. The oncologist apprised the students to enjoy little things that life has set for us and to remain healthy and inspire others to be healthy to have a cancer-free life.
